Veneers

Veneers are one of the most comprehensive cosmetic options around; they can address chips or cracks in teeth, gaps between teeth, stubborn areas of staining, misshapen teeth, and several other issues. They’re small coverings made from porcelain that are shaped, shaded, and carefully bonded to the outer surfaces of teeth; though this method does require some alteration of the existing enamel, it’s hardly noticeable—and well worth it.

Metal-Free Restorations

In the past, dental restorations were often made from a silvery-gray colored material called metal amalgam, which while effective, wasn’t exactly natural-looking. Here at Discover Family Dental, we proudly offer metal-free restorations in lieu of traditional metal ones; they’re just as durable, just as effective, and come with the added bonus of looking exactly like your natural teeth. They can easily last for years with the right care, allowing you to achieve both your oral health and aesthetic goals simultaneously.

Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic bonding, sometimes simply called dental bonding, is sort of a “fix-all” cosmetic treatment in the sense that it can tackle a very wide range of aesthetic issues. Chips, cracks, staining, misshapen teeth – all these flaws and more can be quickly and effectively addressed within a single visit using this awesome method. It involves a small amount of composite resin that is carefully molded and shaped over existing teeth before being hardened with a special curing light. The process immediately masks any present flaws and can be touched up as needed down the road.

Teeth Whitening

Not everyone is born with perfectly white teeth – and it’s also possible for those with naturally whiter smiles to see their teeth dull over time, especially if they’re accustomed to eating and drinking certain dark-colored foods and beverages. However, teeth whitening is normally an easy fix for this. Our practice is thrilled to offer two types of teeth whitening treatments: Zoom! take-home kits, as well as Opalescence Boost in-office whitening, both of which are capable of drastically whitening your teeth by several shades. Many patients prefer our take-home kits since they allow them to whiten their teeth conveniently at home and on their own personal schedule; however, both options produce astonishing, confidence-inspiring results.

Gum Recontouring & Crown Lengthening

Do your gums seem to cover up more of your teeth than they’re supposed to? This surprisingly common issue, often referred to as a “gummy smile,” can lead to self-esteem issues since it drastically alters the teeth’s appearance. That said, it can also heighten the risk of certain oral health issues, like decay and gum disease. Using our soft tissue laser, we can perform gum recontouring (sometimes called crown lengthening) to reshape your gumline, remove excess gum tissue, and ensure that your gums aren’t covering up too much of your beautiful pearly whites!

Smile Makeovers

Are you worried that your smile needs too much work or too many different procedures to look as beautiful as you imagine? Smile makeovers are designed with these specific situations in mind. Dr. Jenkins will meet with you and discuss your smile goals before drawing up a personalized treatment plan that usually involves several different cosmetic and restorative procedures. The goal here is simple; streamline and customize treatment so that you’re able to achieve a radiant and beautiful smile. We utilize digital smile design for this process to ensure that you’re able to clearly see the positive direction your pearly whites are headed – we want you to be excited about your new grin!
